A good laugh

Nothing is quite as healing as a good laugh. Enjoy this one, compliments of Caroline.

  2. Aren't Ipads the best! My grandma who has had seven strokes uses it too! She can hold a pencil anymore but she plays on the ipad all day. Your mom had a great attitude and spirit! I wish I had of met her.

  3. I hope I can stop crying enough to type this. I came across this on accident. My mom is 59 and has bulbar onset ALS. She was diagnosed in April of this year and is following the same story as your mother did--it's as if the disease replicates itself from one angel to another, one mother and grandmother to another (not to limit to the females, but in our stories, it is). This video made me cry, laugh, and instantly want to give your mother a hug (and know I cannot) because it's something my mother would absolutely type on her iPad. In fact, when we first got her the iPad so she could talk to us, she figured out how to say "screw you" just to tease us. I guess you have to find the humor, even in the sadness. I am so so sorry for your loss, particularly in this holiday season, but just generally in how it feels to lose someone to this disease. I read what you wrote about the three things you know about ALS and I know how it will end, and that I can say what I can to my mom (and another woman I have befriended with the same type of ALS) but it sure is hard to tell my heart. Take care please,
